Rob Piercy has always had a close affinity with the land and being a mountaineer for most of his adult life the wilder side of the landscape has always excited him more than the gentler lowlands. This relationship between wild landscape and lifestyle has continued into his artwork and he finds that the drama of the high hills and rugged coastline is wonderful inspiration for any landscape painter.
