FELIX AKULW
In 1972, Felix Akulw undertook the Foundation Course at Cardiff College of Art, followed by a First Class Honours Degree in Fine Art with Commendation from Coventry University in 1975. He was awarded an MA from the Royal College of Art in 1978, where he also received the Herbert Read Memorial Prize.
After returning to Wales, he exhibited at the 1991 Wales Open and at the Bro Delyn National Eisteddfod. He continued to show work at the Wales Open Exhibition in 1992, the Fourth Oriel Mostyn Open, and the National Eisteddfod at Builth Wells in 1993. In 1994, he exhibited at the Taliesin Arts Centre and lectured on the emerging Digital Revolution in the visual arts at the National Eisteddfod in Neath, where he also displayed a range of digitally inspired work.
Felix Akulw continues to work across a variety of media and genres.
In 2022 Felix was featured in Singulart Online Gallery Top British Artists to watch.
In 2023 Felix was the winner of two Open Calls of the Artepreneur online gallery as well as feauturing in their Orange Book volume 2 directory of top 50 artists.
