I have been painting the wonderful and varied coast of Wales for many years, and my paintings are mainly semi abstract. Acrylic paints and inks are my starting point, creating big bold marks for initial structure, then working over the top with oil colour, it’s then a continuous process of adding paint layers, and wiping away again in certain areas, until the painting is finished, that’s the theory anyway, the quote ‘Art Is Never Finished, Only Abandoned’, sums up my painting experience entirely.
