Artist's statement I draw from the Celtic Monastic heritage in Wales, particularly their spirituality and love of creation. My passion is to explore the interplay of these two realms and how we experience one through the other My work is very intuitive at the start, a playful exploration of marks, colours etc until I find something that I can work with which brings with it the cumulative experiences of walking the landscape in which I live, favourite places, life and whatever is going on for me at the time. The foundation of this approach is mark making, very loose and flowing. I have been involved in solo and group exhibitions, Arts Trails and Studio exhibitions across South Wales over the last few years as well as the Wales Contemporary 2025 exhibitions in London and Waterfront Gallery. I currently have work in Queen St Gallery, Neath and other venues.
