I have recently rekindled my passion for painting after spending 25 years teaching in secondary schools. Caravans are a current focus of my work. These symbols of freedom and adventure reflect nostalgia and the transience of travel. Memories and emotions stirred by childhood holidays of long hot summers and endless freedom. The simple everyday scenes transform into contemplative moments that resonate with a sense of familiarity, maybe even longing. Each piece encourages the viewer to engage with their own history and the landscape that has shaped them. Every caravan has its own story to tell.
